  1. Kimberly Flickinger says:

I always wondered about the importance of cleanses and if they really work. Thank you so much for your sharing your experience, now I have a little more information to go on.

  2. I’ve always wanted to try this,I have infinite digestion issues and wonder if this might just help

  3. Terry Poage says:

I have always wondered if it was a good idea to cleanse. The reason I don’t is because all the medications i take.

  4. denise low says:

Thank you for sharing. I have always wanted to try this.

  5. Amber Ludwig says:

OH man!! I don’t think I could do it!! At least its only 3 days lol!!

  6. Bryan Vice says:

This looks so nasty BUT anything i can do to help my body and stay healthy i will try!!

  7. Bonnie Lee says:

Wow. I was always skeptical of a cleanse. I thought that because you stop eating certain things that your body would be exhausted from the loss of calories and such. Thanks for sharing!

    • That makes Bonnie but when you eliminate foods that your body doesn’t actually need and only eat (or drink) super clean, nutrient dense foods you actually feel much more energized. It’s my favorite way to reset my diet after the holidays when I allow myself to overindulge in foods that are tasty but a little decadent. It never ceases to amaze me how I think I feel totally fine with those richer foods until I go on my cleanse and then I realize how much better I feel with clean food. I hope you found this information helpful. All the best!

  8. Tracey Schmidt says:

    thanks for sharing

  9. Rae Zehel says:

I never drink coffee so it’ll be easy to pick up this habit in the morning!

  10. Bryan Vice says:

I try to cleanse at least once a month !

    • Wow Bryan, that’s quite the discipline! Do you feel the need to cleanse this frequently because you fall back into bad habits in between, or because you just love that extra healthy you get after a cleanse?

  11. Phyllis Huebbe says:

I wondered if they work or not

    • Much of it depends on why you choose to cleanse Phyllis, how you prep for it and do the actual cleanse and what you use for your cleanse. My experience has always been a good one, but as you can see I only cleanse for a few days and mostly to get me back on track with my normal healthy, clean eating habits.

  12. gloria patterson says:

I have read about it but you know some of that drinking stuff is NOT good

    • You are right Gloria, not all cleanses are equally good. That’s why I chose Chef V. I know their drinks are made fresh from organic fruits and vegetables produced locally. It would be even better if I made all my drinks myself which is what I hope to do the next time around. πŸ™‚

  13. Tamra Gibson says:

I admire your determination and you’rr blessed to be enjoying it. In my early 50’s I am willing to try anything to help my body but I haven’t tackled this one yet. It’s on my list tho. I will have to come check out the different recipes.
    Thank you

    • Thank you Tamra! I just turned 50 last August and I am loving it! I feel stronger and healthier than I ever have. I credit my commitment to clean, healthy eating and regular exercise for feeling this great. It’s one of the reasons I became a personal trainer as I want to empower other women to jump into any stage of life with joy and enthusiasm πŸ™‚ Best of luck and let me know how I best support you.

  14. I’m interested in starting a cleanse too and seeing how I do.

  15. Cleansing is always good to do but be gentle with oneself.

  16. Kelly Kimmell says:

Thanks for sharing. I always wondered about cleansing.

  17. Christy Peeples DuBois says:

I didn’t read all of the other comments but I have mixed feelings about the cleanse. On one hand I can see the benefits in that you are getting all healthy options while cleansing and that alone has to be beneficial. As much as I love vegetables I have something that I can’t identify that bothers me about green anything to drink. I know this is just a quirk of mine. And on the other hand I believe our bodies are made to get rid of toxins, etc through our kidneys and liver therefore why is a cleanse necessary. Overall, I do not see why it would hurt but not sure if it’s for me.

  18. So interesting yet I am so nervous to try it. Mixed feelings are a big issue are as me being sensitive to many things. My sensory issues are another thing I’m not sure I can get over to try it.

    • Jolie I would consult your health care practitioner if you are interested in doing a cleanse to make sure it is something that would benefit you and not cause harm. As I stated in this article, if you eat a fairly healthy diet to begin with, you probably don’t need a cleanse as your body takes care of flushing out toxins on a regular basis. If, like me, you are looking to reset your eating habits after indulging in too many foods that are rich and don’t support your health in the way that you’d like, then a 24 hour fast might provide the best option for you.

  19. Judy Thomas says:

I have never done a cleanse before, it sounds very interesting.

  20. Deborah W. says:

Is cleansing the same thing as fasting? I have been told it would be beneficial for me to fast for 36 to 48 hours once a month. I am insulin resistant and trying to lower triglycerides. I have been eating vegetarian for over five months and trying to go vegan. I love veggies and fruits but need to stay away from oils, I guess. Thanks for the information.

  21. Robyn Cobb says:

i’ve wanted to try a cleanse and saw one using pink sea salt, distilled water and lemon juice. i’m just afraid i’ll dehydrate too quickly–i live alone.

    • That does not sound like a particularly healthy cleanse Robyn. I suspect this particular cleanse recommends a small amount of salt to keep you from flushing out your electrolytes. I don’t enough about this particular cleanse, however, to offer any more insight. I think you would be wise to research other options. Good luck!

  22. Always wondered about cleanses and if they work. Would take a lot of discipline.

    • The longer the cleanse the more discipline you need Madhuri. A good cleanse should never feel restrictive though, it should feel like you are doing something really loving for your body πŸ™‚

  23. Michelle L says:

I dont have the motivation. Good luck

  24. Crissie Woolard says:

I have never tried this before but it sounds pretty interesting. I may have to give it a shot

    • I find a cleanse to be the best way for me to refocus on clean eating habits after a little too much indulging Crissie. I’d love to know how you feel if you decide to give it a try.

  25. joel timmons says:

    Awesomeness

  26. I don’t think I would do a cleanse.
