Orange Avocado Sherbet
Prep time
Total time
Recipe type: Dessert
Serves: 8
  • 1 to 1.5 large ripe avocado (about ¾ cup)
  • ½ cup coconut cream
  • ½ coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp wild honey
  • ⅓ cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 2 tsp orange zest
  1. Scoop avocado flesh into blender.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients.
  3. Blend until smooth, scraping edges as needed.
  4. Divide into 8 glass ramequins or pour into 8 inch square baking dish.
  5. Cover and freeze for a minimum of 4 hours.
  6. To serve allow sherbet to soften at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Invert on cutting board and cut into 8 squares.
  7. If using individual ramequins, quickly dip ramequins in hot water. Invert onto dessert plates. Garnish with a swirl of orange peel or fresh mint.
  8. Enjoy!
For a fun way to present this delicious treat slice 4 oranges in half and either scoop out the pulp or squeeze the juice, then fill with the sherbet. Freeze and serve with a garnish of your choice -- toasted coconut, a sprig of fresh mint or a thin slice of orange.
