Peanut Butter Cup Breakfast Smoothie and Blendtec Giveaway

When it comes to healthy living one of the tools I cannot do without is a solid, reliable, powerful blender.

I use my blender daily for all sorts of delicious meals from breakfast smoothies, home made ice cream, hummus, soups, dips… I honestly don’t know what I would do without it.

In fact it’s one of the first things I’ll be buying for my daughter when I get her settled into her college dorm room in just a few short weeks.

When school is in session I often prepare smoothies for myself and the girls. It’s a simple way to ensure we all have a balanced meal, rich in protein and healthy nutrients that will keep me going strong as I go about my day and the girls alert and ready for leaning.

One of our favorite smoothies is a peanut butter cup smoothie… Yep it tastes just as good as it sounds. I add a generous handful of spinach or kale for brain power to a heaping tablespoon of nut butter along with some raw cacao for a scrumptious  breakfast on the go.

My good friend Colleen of MyDairyFreeGlutenFree life owns a Blendtec Designer 675 and couldn’t live without it! You can read her Blendtec review here. She needs a high powered blender to make things that she just can’t make with a regular blender. She’s burned too many engines on regular blenders!

Have I mentioned how much I Love the Blendtec?

History of the Blendtec Blender:

Inventor, Tom Dickson, envisioned the perfect mixer using freshly milled flour from his mill to make wholesome bread in minutes. “When back in the lab, Tom developed an autoknead feature, enabling the mixer to knead the dough, develop the gluten and turn off automatically when finished. Tom continued to improve the mixer and decided to add a blender with a square jar, rather than the conventional round jar. As Tom expanded his mill and mixer business, new ideas developed. He enhanced the blender and began developing commercial blending machines just as the smoothie era began.”

You have probably seen the Blendtec videos and heard Blendtec say “We’ve blended everything from rake handles to golf balls and glow sticks in our test lab – so you can experience years of trouble-free blending.” And it is TRUE!
