I received an Armetale Classic Medium Bowl for review. The opinions expressed here are 100% mine.
When I was asked to review an Armetale Classic Medium Bowl l I was delighted! I’ve been intrigued by these beautiful serving dishes for some time. I love their sleek beautiful lines that are classic and contemporary at once. Equally appealing to me is the fact that these pieces are made from recycled metals. As a supporter of a clean and green lifestyle I love companies that are ingenious in re-using materials and turning them into practical items for every day use. And when these items are this beautiful they are truly a pleasure to use and display. What I leaned is that these pieces are extremely versatile and can be used for much more than just serving foods.
When my Armetale classic medium bowl arrived it was an instant favorite with everyone in the family.
Everyone oohed and aahed at it’s sleek and gorgeous lines and began throwing out ideas on how we could use it. Natasha suggested we fill it up with candy and place it on our coffee table for guests to enjoy. My mom and grandma have always had a bowl of candy out for all to enjoy and I love that she wants to keep that tradition going. Alexandra surprised me with a beautiful and delicious mango mousse for my birthday.
It was the perfect serving dish for the chocolate mousse I made for my hubby’s 50th birthday and I love how nicely it complimented our pewter cake serving platter which we received as a wedding gift 22 years ago!
I decided it’s a perfect serving dish for all kinds of wonderful salads, including my daughter’s fabulous rice salad.
One thing my hubby was particularly excited about was that you can cook with these pieces on the grill. Being the barbecue master he was anxious to give it try and cooked up a wonderful medley of vegetables.
Here are some things you should know about Armetale products:
- Armetale metal is a unique, non-toxic aluminum-based alloy, making it ideal for prepping food, cooking and serving
- Armetale metals do not rust, chip or break making them fabulous family heirloom pieces
- Armetal pieces can go from freezer to oven to table to fridge.
- Armetale pieces are NOT dishwasher safe and should be hand washed as you would any treasured kitchenware.
When I agreed to review a piece from Armetale I was issued a challenge: to come up with a tailgating recipe that would make use of my classic bowl.
My girls attend a French American school and though we have a fabulous soccer team, we do not have a football team or a student body large enough for tailgating parties.. Yep my girls are missing out no this fun all-american experience. We do enjoy going to outdoor movies, however, and always bring along a fun treat for the night, so I figured the same rules would apply to a tailgating party when it comes to food — simple, delicious and finger friendly.
I decided meatballs would be a fabulous choice and was inspired to create these garlic and mushroom turkey meatballs. They are gluten free, super healthy and if I can say so myself, absolutely delicious!
All you need are four simple ingredients: freshly ground turkey, mushrooms, lots of garlic and fresh parsley.
Chop all your ingredients and toss in a bowl with the ground turkey.
My Wilton Armetale bowl was that perfect bowl to cook and serve my meatballs in, and because these bowls keep foods hot longer, you can enjoy them hot at your party. Simply cover them in foil, and if you want them steaming hot, wrap the bowl in a towel.
I hope you enjoy these meatballs as much as my family did. Use fun, game inspired toothpicks to serve them for a tasty mess-free treat.
As it turns out some of our good friends invited us to join them for their next football game and tailgating party and I can’t wait to share our meatballs with them.

what a beautiful bowl! Would definitely be perfect for just about any dish!
I had never heard of wrapping the bowl in a towel to keep food hot. What a fabulous idea! It’s much safer than using a chafing dish with an open flame right at little finger level.
My mom cooks her ham that way Crystal and it is insanely good! The towel keeps the food nice and hot and your fingers don’t get burned. The trick is to place the food in the towel while it is still hot.
Gorgeous bowl and great way to dress up your service ware.
I really love the simple lines of the classic collection Tonya. It’s one that you really can’t go wrong with.
What a neat bowl. I love that its almost futuristic looking. (Is my geek showing? LOL)
Heehee, maybe a little Lynsey, but that’s not a bad thing. I love the lines of that bowl — modern and classic at once.
I would definitely use the Grillware 1 Quart Saucepot. My husband grills all of the time and would love this.
My husband and yours would get along Stacie 😉 I love their grillware collection and we would get a ton of use from it.
Those look so good. I love meatballs, they are one of my favorite party foods. These are turkey, so they are a little healthier for you, which makes them even better.
Thank you Kathleen! Meatballs are a fun party food and so easy to make in all sorts of different ways… I am a bit of a health nut and we eat turkey a lot, though I love a juicy grass fed steak!
I need one of these bowls!!
Haha Lisa, I hear you!! Best of luck.
Yummy! This looks so good!
Thanks Rachel! They were a hit with the whole family.
Wow, I like that it has so many ways of use. Very neat.
It is a neat thing Jennifer, and I love this bowl so much I actually enjoy washing it by hand. It’s super easy too, no matter what I cook in it, it comes off real fast.
Ooooh cool bowl! We don’t use plastic so this would be a great fit for us, plus it looks great too.
We don’t use plastic either Kim and I agree it is not only super practical but absolutely gorgeous!
I didn’t realize they were recycled metal. That’s so nice to know, and they’re really attractive too.
I know Liz, those are two things I really appreciate about these pieces. I love products that are eco friendly without compromising on aesthetics and easy of use.
My hubby does lots of cooking and I bet he would love one of those bowls. I’ll have to send him that link. The garlic and mushroom meatballs sound great too.
Thank you Digna! You are lucky to have a hubby who likes cooking. That certainly is one of the things I treasure about my hubby, especially when he’s grilling up a storm on hot summer days 🙂
They have so many beautiful products. I would just love to get the Harvest Chip & Dip bowl from the Harvest Collection.
Oh that is a fabulous set Jennifer and perfect for the coming season.
That’s a cute set especially the bowl.
We absolutely LOVE the bowl Kira! I would be happy with all the other pieces in that set as well 😉
I also like the SCALLOP HANDLE BUFFET TRAY.
Wonderful choice Tram and God knows we can never have too many serving trays 🙂
So many wonderful collections — Reggae, Classic, Autumn, Boucle….Love them all 🙂
There is nothing like classy dishes when entertaining and these look good. Thanks for the great review.
The Armetale serving dishes are absolutely beautiful. I wouldn’t mind having a set for myself.
