What You need to make these Matcha Protein Balls:

The ingredients for these matcha protein balls have been carefully selected to bring you a snack that is loaded with health promoting goodness.  Here’s what  you’ll need to make these scrumptious Matcha Protein Balls:

  • Raw Cashews or Cashew Butter
  • Medjool dates
  • Coconut oil
  • Unflavored whey protein or vanilla vegan protein powder
  • Organic Matcha green tea powder

I use home made cashew butter for the matcha protein balls. Cashews have a subtle flavor that is neutral when combined with the other ingredients in this recipe.

I prefer to make my own cashew butter, rather than use the store bought variety as too many nut butters are made with added oil to make then extra creamy. Making your own ensures freshness as well so you can reap the most heath benefits from your cashew butter.

One cup of raw cashews yields one cup of cashew so there’s no math to worry about.

To make your cashew butter simply place whole cashew or cashew pieces in the bowl of your food processor and blend until you obtain a thick paste.
