Inspired by the season I decided to concoct a new green smoothie for the girls’ breakfast this morning.
Here is my recipe for a “Pumpkin Pie Green Smoothie”
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup organic pureed pumpkin
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or vanilla protein powder
- 1 scoop Amazing Grass Superfood
- 1Tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 1/4 tsp allspice
- 8 ounces almond milk
Blend all ingredients together. ( I love to use my Magic Bullet for this )
Serve immediately and enjoy!
The girls were surprised at how much it tasted like one of their favorite holiday desserts. I was thrilled to send them off to school with a breakfast loaded with all sorts of vitamins and other important nutrients to keep them alert and focused throughout the day.
Pumpkin is a wonderful superfood loaded with vital nutrients that is not used as much it should.
